Ms. Franchesca Castillo represented the Institute for Labor Studies (ILS) at the ILO event "Forging a Path Forward: Implementing ILO C190 in the Philippines" on Friday, September 13, 2024, at the Commission on Human Rights, Quezon City. Ms. Castillo presented the ILS study titled "Affirming the Right to Freedom from Violence and Harassment in the World Of Work: A Gap Analysis of the ILO Convention 190" and the insights moving forward from the ILS C190 Forum held in March.

The event was attended by representatives from DOLE BWSC, ILO, WWU, FFW, and Gabriela Women's Party, as well as parliamentarians and advocates of C190. It can be recalled that the Philippines, through DOLE, deposited the instrument of ratification of ILO C190 in February 2024, at the ILO Headquarters in Geneva, Switzerland.

The Institute for Labor Studies remains among the attached agencies of the Department of Labor and Employment, which received a 100% Transparency Seal compliance status for the Q2 2024.

This is the second time for the year that ILS has earned the 100% rating since the 1st quarter online audit conducted by FMS last May 2024.
