Manila – The Institute for Labor Studies (ILS) participates in the Green Jobs and Just Transition Technical Workshop for Government last August 25-26 at the Waterfront Pavilion Hotel, United Nations Avenue corner Ma. Orosa Street, Manila City.
The Institute for Labor Studies (ILS) submits its Gender and Development (GAD) Accomplishment Report for the First Semester of 2016 to the Bureau of Workers with Special Concerns (BWSC). This is in line with the commitment of government to mainstream gender dimensions in its programs, projects, and activities to implement Republic Act No. 9710 or the Magna Carta of Women (MCW) towards women’s empowerment, gender equity and gender equality.
The Institute for Labor Studies research titled, “Employment Mainstreaming of Workers with Disability” was presented during the Government Partners Forum on Access to Employment of Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) last July 20 at the Eurotel Hotel in Quezon City.
The said forum was in celebration of the 38th National Disability Prevention and Rehabilitation (NDRP) Week with the theme, “Karapatan ng Maykapansanan, Isakatuparan, Now Na!”
The Institute for Labor Studies (ILS) is gearing up for its upcoming International Organization for Standardization (ISO) quality audit which is scheduled on November 14.
ILS received its ISO 9001:2008 Quality Management Systems (QMS) certification last March 18, 2016 from Anglo Japanese American (AJA) Registrars Philippines, Inc., an independent third party registrar (certification body) operating from a global network of offices offering third party registration and training services at a local level.
The Institute for Labor and Studies (ILS) conducted its area-wide consultations on the gap analysis of ILO Convention No. 129 or the convention concerning labor inspection in Agriculture, and No. 81 or the convention concerning labor inspection in industry and commerce) held on July 25, 27 and 29 respectively in Metro Davao, Metro Cebu, and Metro Manila.
