Manila – The Institute for Labor Studies successfully hosted the eighth edition of its Revive &Thrive COVID-19 Webinar Series with a panel of distinguished guests and panelists that collectively came together to advocate for child labor and rights. The event was streamed live via the official ILS Facebook page and published real time via StreamYard last November 6.

Titled “#KeepKidsSafe: Advancing Efforts to Fight Online Sexual Abuse and Exploitation of Children (OSAEC), the webinar was formally opened by Executive Director Ahmma Charisma Lobrin-Satumba who delivered the opening remarks for the program.

Manila – The Institute for Labor Studies’ (ILS) Workers Welfare Research Division has three on going researches that will be released by year end highlighting three pressing issues concerning Filipino workers across the nation.

These topics include policy papers on Basic Income Guarantee (BIG), mental health, and ILO Violence and Harassment Convention, 2019 (No. 190).

Manila – Institute for Labor Studies (ILS) researchers Bernard Paul M. Mangulabnan and John Emmanuel V. Villanueva were part of the distinguished panelists and moderators in the recently-concluded ASEAN Inter-Ministerial Forum on the Implementation of the ASEAN Declaration on Promoting Green Jobs for Equity and Inclusive Growth in ASEAN Community, which was held online last October 7-9.
